Mr. Conrad Clyburn is currently the Director of Program Integration and Planning, at the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, Fort Detrick, Maryland. Under an Intergovernmental Personnel Agreement (IPA) between Georgetown University and the Department of Defense (DoD), Mr. Clyburn developed and implemented program manage-ment, prioritization and resource allocation management systems for over 50 DoD basic and applied research, concept development and rapid prototyping medical advanced technology projects. He is responsible for the strategic integration of the DoD telemedicine Research and Development portfolio and was the principal author of the DoD Joint Science and Technology Plan for Telemedicine.

He also advises the Director of the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center on the future strategic directions and research trends in Teleradiology, Picture Archiving and Communications Systems, Image Processing, 3D Visualization, Pre-operative Surgical Planning, Minimally Invasive Therapies, Telerobotics, clinical applications of Telemedicine, Medical Informatics, Patient Data Security, and medically focused Computer Supported Collaborative Work technologies. As Program Integration and Planning Director, he is also responsible for the programmatic oversight of 22 special interest telemedicine programs.
